Why we formed
As three socially conscious friends from socially-deprived areas, we felt the need to create a company that would not just provide a one-time benefit to society but would develop the systems necessary to allow scalable, adaptable and innovative changes. We’re here to automate your impact.

Chris
As a qualified teacher in England, Chris, the son of a headteacher surprisingly started out life as a disruptive student in school. Throughout University whilst studying for his PGCE and History Degree, Chris found comfort in the gym and the library.
After trying his hand at teaching young people for a couple of years, he always felt he could be doing more to develop society and found his keen interest was in project management where he could have the most impact.
Chris left teaching to develop his project management skills before the pandemic hit which resulted in redundancy alongside almost 1 million people in the UK who faced the same fate. It was Chris’s leadership that inspired James and Callum to form Apogee in a climate where socially excluded people needed help now more than ever.
Chris’s main skills focus around project management, client engagement and business operations that enable the senior developers to make the most of their skills for our clients enabling them to make the greatest impact possible.

Callum
Callum will be the first to admit that he has always found more comfort in books than in reality. Throughout school you would always find him escaping the normality of life in fiction reading tomes from Tolkein to Lewis.
As a student of Creative Writing at John Moores University, Liverpool, Callum dedicated every waking hour to a world just out of reach to most of us who get bogged down by the 9 to 5.
When we all had the discussion about forming Apogee it was Callum’s abstract thinking and recognising a ‘third way’ to our solution that was the final piece to our often rigid, methodical approach.
When Callum isn’t working towards achieving a 7b indoor rock-climbing path or writing short stories you’ll find him deep in client system logic always recognising another way that the other team haven’t thought of. It is this abstract thinking that enables us to scale the highest of peaks when it comes to innovative solutions for our clients no matter how specific their needs are.

James
James, a qualified ski instructor, helps develops our client’s systems from some of the best ski locations in the world. Alongside teaching young people to ski in Canada, Germany and France James, a senior developer and founder at Apogee, is committed to developing systems that help social enterprises scale their impact.
James is particularly passionate about supporting organisations dedicated to reducing the world’s environmental impact. He believes in supporting services to reduce their reliance on printing and paper storage through using robust CRM systems.

James is skilled in creating document creation systems, mass data management and helping organisations meet commissioner’s needs by complying with stringent standards such as those laid out by the European Skills Investment Fund and the Department for Work and Pensions.
